BACKGROUND: New owners of a brownstone townhouse want to use a light cream colored stone rather than the more common available greys. We sourced quartzite from the Adirondack region of upstate New York and match it with a complementary colored gravel.
UTILITY: Magnolias and witch hazel serve as locally acclimated foundation plantings, underplanted with native hardy perennials.
AMENITY: Shades of cream and yellows create an uncharacteristic native New York garden. Native plantings round out the microbiotic appeal of the Adirondack region.
